Co-Founder & Managing Director
Michael Harris is the Managing Director of CREModels, bringing over 25 years of real estate and technology experience and a lifetime of entrepreneurship to the team. Mr. Harris has held numerous roles within CREModels including Vice President of Emerging Technologies and Director of Marketing. In his current capacity as Managing Director, Mike oversees the marketing and general operations of the firm. Additionally, he is in charge of both client-facing and internal technology solutions while spearheading the CREModels Ventures and CREModels Labs divisions.
He successfully started and sold a Network Consulting company in the early 1990’s which handled both systems rollouts and training across the country. In the real estate world, Mr. Harris is known as an expert in distressed debt and REO transactions. He helped form the Special Assets Services division of a large commercial real estate brokerage firm and later served as Director of the Loan Sales division.
Mr. Harris also launched a Private Equity fund which acquires distressed commercial real estate assets in secondary markets of the US. To date they have over $25,000,000 in equity capital deployed. Mr. Harris has been involved in over $1 billion in transactions as a private investor, syndicator, broker, and lender.
Mike received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida, his MBA from the University of Florida and is a proud member of Mensa. Mr Harris has also attended the Real Estate Executive Seminar at Harvard Business School.
Mr. Harris also drives the CREModels Cares initiative and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Museum Great Explorations in St. Petersburg Florida. He also takes on an active role on the Marketing, Technology, and Fundraising committees at Great Explorations.
Co-Founder & Managing Director
CREModels Managing Director Mike Jaworski spearheads business development for the firm’s consulting and enterprise services division. Working closely with our largest and most sophisticated clients, he executes multidimensional projects involving fund-modeling, portfolio-management, custom data analytics and real estate M&A.
Institutional investors, private equity firms, and large family offices rely on Mr. Jaworski’s expertise in real estate equity modeling and analytics. On the debt side, his understanding of real estate business processes and complex, debt-related analysis makes him a trusted source for private debt funds, CMBS investors and midsized real estate lenders across the country.
In partnership with our tech team, Mr. Jaworski produces advanced business intelligence tools that integrate real estate and financial data from disparate sources, providing game-changing insights for our clients. Most recently, his collaborations with property tax advisors have led to the creation of groundbreaking algorithms for automated valuation modeling.
Since co-founding CREModels in the midst of the Great Financial Crisis, Mr. Jaworski has been instrumental in the evolution of our products and services. Along the way, he has worked with clients on deals totaling more than $20 billion in sectors such as multifamily, office, retail, industrial, data centers, medical/healthcare, self-storage, hospitality, and senior and student housing.
Mr. Jaworski, who earned a chemical engineering degree from Michigan State University, is a 20 plus-year commercial real estate veteran. A member of ICSC and NAIOP, he started out as an investment sales broker in Detroit and Tampa, closing dozens of transactions valued at more than $1 billion in total.
Mr. Jaworski's thought leadership includes conducting investor workshops for GPs and LPs, penning columns for trade publications, giving interviews to industry reporters, and speaking at tax, real estate, investing and other conferences. An avid golfer, he lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan, with his wife and two young children.
Vice President
Max Garbus is Director of the Due Diligence Services Practice. He has held numerous roles at CREModels as we grew, since Max was our first employee. He started as a lease abstractor and researcher, then as an analyst, and later developing the training curriculum for all new hires. He quickly applied his extraordinary talents to developing and standardizing processes and procedures, as well as innovative new products and deliverables such as LeaseQC and other businesses within CREModels Ventures. Mr. Garbus has managed projects totaling over $10B in properties across all product types.
In addition to operations, Max plays an integral role in business development and assisting with setting overall strategic goals for the Due Diligence division and providing guidance to Project Managers.
Prior to working at CREModels, he worked at an innovative real estate data analytics company where he trained and managed a team of research analysts delivering accurate weekly reports for foreclosures and loan sales.
Mr. Garbus graduated from the University of Tampa with Honors in Finance where he helped manage the university’s equity investment fund.
